Drink Wine and Pick Dandelions. Highly Commended - RBSA Birmingham

I absolutely love this piece, the process was a joy and I think you can see this in the result - it feels happy, there’s a sense of calm to it don’t you think?
It could do with a nice frame, it’s not vital but something big would set it off beautifully. For now it will sit happily with me in my studio, waiting for a forever wall!
 
There was no plan or sketching, it evolved from layers of playing with a different palette combination, introducing spring green and sky blue for May. I’ve included a timelapse video of me finding the compositions which I guess is heavily inspired by a wander through a park with the most beautiful espaliered cherry trees. I imagined picnics and lazy evenings in the sun… anyway, as is my way, my mind wanderings tell me what and how to create.
