Flowers in a Hand Built Jug 77x57cm Mixed Media on paper

Created over a rejected painting on 300gsm Saunders Waterford imperial paper. 
Each brush stroke and mark made is a spontaneous and intuitive response to the last, my favourite way to paint. 
Inspired in part by the wilting autumnal flowers - which is obvious, however it dawned on me that the jug was very much like the hand built vase that I’m very proud to have made. The marks were there waiting, and so I’d have been daft not to use them! 
The paper has a beautiful deckle edge, so I would suggest a beautiful float frame to celebrate its entirety!
