Weekend Abstract Familiarity Workshop

Service Description

'Abstract Familiarity' is my way of describing my approach to contemporary still-life painting. It just means I use imagination to create what I already know, what I love, and what I want to see in my work, and then I make every effort to not make it look real! So It's abstracting the familiar.. simple really! Over the 2 days I will guide you through my approach, it's just one of many, there aren't rules, there's no drawing or planning, and remember, it's just paint! Both days are 10-5ish, including time for lunch, so 2 full days of guided and supported art making. All materials (and aprons) are provided, and framing is available (should you wish) at the end of the weekend to elevate your hard work to wall-worthy art! All refreshments are provided, but please bring a lunch or grab something from one of the nearby eateries, there's a pub next door so we could all take a well-earned breather there. In the evening there are plenty of bars and restaurants, I would love to join you! I'd advise you not to wear your nice clothes to paint in, acrylic does not come off! My gorgeous creative corner of Bewdley awaits you, leave your normal and join me in mine for a while!
