WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES
2025
My perfect day is spending time in my studio, surrounded by my paintings and my clutter, inspiring novice or nervous artists to lose themselves for a while and play freely with paint, without rules, without judgment, with the idea of expressing - not impressing.

In May 2024 I opened a new studio in Bewdley, developed more classes and workshops and it's a completely wonderful way to be... how lovely that I get to do this, and that over 220 people have discovered their arty rebelliousness in this little creative corner of Worcestershire!
In March 2025 I am taking a leap to run the studio alone and develop the gallery space, I will be welcoming guest artists to show their work and hopefully run workshops. In the meantime, I will be focusing efforts on my monthly weekend workshops and developing the idea of art retreats. I'll also be working on more online courses and live events which is very exciting, so it's looking to be a rather busy start to the year!
All this means that short courses are taking a back seat for a while, however if you are looking for 1-2-1 sessions or something bespoke, please contact me for a chat.
You may like the idea of a few hours private tutoring, a bespoke weekend with a group of friends or for a party, maybe a hen weekend or a special birthday, we could arrange something fun and rather memorable.
There are loads of Airbnbs within easy walking distance, and plenty of eateries and bars in this splendid little riverside town. Why not come for the weekend!
Remember I provide you with absolutely everything you'll need for these sessions and workshops, and most importantly, you do not need any experience!! I am available for art demonstrations and workshops via https://artprofile.co.uk/artists

You can find me in the loveliest old Georgian building soon to be renamed "Fig Tin" or something like that, on the corner of Welch Gate, Bewdley,
DY12 2AX.

What to Expect
Spend three full days immersed in creativity and enjoy connecting with others in my fabulous old Georgian studio in the heart of historic Bewdley on the River Severn, Worcestershire.

Learn my unique approach to acrylics, developed over 3 decades of art practice, let me share with you a more forgiving and intuitive way to create still-life paintings. I have designed this workshop to inspire and challenge you, offering you a chance to explore something different in a super relaxed and supportive environment.

There’s no drawing, no planning, copying, or painting what you see. We use imagination, memories, and knowledge of what you love, stuff you have in your home, and the things you prize. However, my aim is to show you how to respond to what the painting wants to say. I have no idea what you or I will create, every piece will be entirely spontaneous, unique, and I pretty much guarantee, rather wonderful!

Who It’s For
Whether you’re an experienced artist or completely new to painting, this workshop is for anyone looking for an achievable, forgiving, and process-driven approach to art.
Guidance is tailored to individual needs, and I will support you every step of the way, or give you space to go off-piste if that's what you prefer, there's room to experiment and explore.
We will look closely at the essential elements and principles of design, nothing heavy, it just helps to see how and why a painting works or doesn't, and for me without this knowledge, it's impossible to add depth and confidence to your work, no matter where you’re starting from.

Who's it for?
Whether or not you have any experience is unimportant, I treat each of you as individuals and give you the support you need.
There is no drawing involved, no planning, nor sketching, no copying, no muse, no real things to look at... it's all from your imagination, your memories, and your idea of what you want your painting to look like. I'm just there to show you how.
