The Immersive Painting Week
Mon 1st - Fri 5th June 2026 Fully Booked
NEW DATE Mon 21st - Fri 25th Sept 2026
ONLY 1 place available!
Leave your normal ... and join me in mine!
Five days to step away and immerse yourself in expressive, intuitive painting.
Join me in my new studio in Bewdley for a week of exploring ideas, abstracting, loosening expectations, and painting in a way that feels instinctive and completely yours.
Space to breathe, make art, and become a little braver with your paint.
Places limited to 6.
£750
including all materials, refreshments & lunches
I've resisted putting up my prices for as long as possible, but with rising costs of materials, food, and hosting, I have had to make the increase from £695 to £750 for September.
Everything remains included, the group remains beautifully small, my time and teaching remain generous and individualised, so everyone gets plenty of space, support, and attention.
Heading 6
How the week will look... (ish)
Day 1 — Inks, instinct & letting go
We begin by loosening up with a large collaborative mixed media creation on canvas, reconnecting with instinct, expression, and spontaneity. This piece will evolve throughout the week, whenever you feel the need to add to it.
After lunch we will bring out the inks and break free of expectation, a variety of compositions will evolve without overthinking.
We’ll finish the day by preparing your boards for the week ahead.
Day 2 — Leaning into Abstracting the familiar
No drawing, no prep, no sketching... just responding.
You’ll learn how to stay in tune with shifting layers, letting ideas emerge rather than deciding them first.
We’ll explore the design principles that actually matter, including understanding colour theory, and I'll get ridiculously excited about mark-making, pushing and pulling paint, depth, texture, and the joy of revealing and hiding history.
You’ll move between large 76cm, medium 50cm, and smaller 40cm and 30cm boards.

Days 3–5 — Your direction, your voice
These three days are where everything opens up, and I get emotional - there is nothing better than seeing how 6 different personalities interpret my teaching and develop their work...
Whether you’re drawn to still-life, figures, vessels, landscapes, buildings, or something more internal, I’ll guide you in applying the techniques in a way that feels authentic to you rather than a copy of me.
Across these 3 days, you’ll explore:
-
confidence with colour
-
layering
-
abstracting
-
depth and visual intrigue
-
scraping, sanding, and revealing layers
-
troubleshooting and the uncomfy ugly phase
-
creating movement and atmosphere
-
changing your mind with ease
-
editing and knowing when to stop
-
developing your own intuitive language
These are the days when things shift, and confidence grows. Decisions become freer, you stop listening to external narratives, and your voice starts to feel clearer and more your own.
