About

For me, painting is all about play, expression, and freedom. It is not about planning, expectation, fear, or judgment. Creativity is therapy, a source of joy, and a space where you're free to do whatever you please. However, reaching that level of comfort and freedom can take time, energy, and courage; it requires practice and patience to discover who you are as an artist. In this course, I invite you to join me as I guide you through the entire process of creating a single painting, from preparing an MDF or wooden board to framing the final piece. It evolved spontaneously during filming, with no expectation, preparation, or sketching beforehand so what you witness is exactly how the painting happened and how I always create. To keep you engaged, I've sped up a couple of sections with added voiceovers, as the video would have been hours and quite dull in parts!. At one point I hadn't noticed my microphone failure, so I have voiced over that segment since I couldn’t redo that part of the painting. I've also included two bonus real-time videos to provide additional clarity on some techniques. Throughout the course, I guide you step-by-step, covering everything from mark-making and working with a limited palette to the fundamentals of art, editing, changing your mind, and all of my personal techniques, hacks, tips, and insider tricks. I share everything in over four hours of real-time footage, along with the timelapse videos, all filmed in my wonderfully chaotic studio on my delightfully messy table. It's important to remember that it's just that - my process, one of thousands, we are all unique... or should be, I haven't designed this so people copy my work, that doesn't help anyone! What I'm hoping is that by the end of the 12 modules, you will feel empowered to create differently, a little rebelliously, and without fear!
