Long Wait for Spring. 55x55cm mixed media on a re-loved old canvas

I was donated an old hand-stretched canvas a few years ago and didn't know what to do with it, so I left it lying there. One day last year, before I moved house, I was again gifted some old art paper, why people give me these things I'll never know.. I must look needy! The paper was terribly cracked but beautiful so I adhered pieces to the canvas strengthening it and since then it has had 3-4 iterations, finally, it became this, a little piece of hope as I looked longingly toward Spring.
 
There are layers and layers of imagination and paint, then it's finished with a cold wax buff and ready to hang - or treat it to a bespoke frame of your choice!
