Broken. Acrylic on 30x40cm board

I don’t plan my paintings. They evolve. This came from a much-used board, sanded and scraped back until a white fractured line felt like it was saying something that I couldn't. I built the figure around it. The rawness of that time, it's all there. It broke me, and this painting is my response to that.

Acrylic shaved to a completely smooth surface, finished with cold wax.
